A new leader for the Southern Baptist Church who promises that he isn’t mad at anyone and yet, will follow the conservative approach to insuring that the word of God is kept. ( see 365Gay Story )

At the same time as the Southern Baptist movement is meeting, so to is the Anglican group. The big issue there it seems is to place a ban on ordaining any of us queers as Bishops. I mean they have one token one now, so they don’t need anymore. Course that isn’t how they put it. Instead they are seeking this ban in order to prevent a split within the group from those who oppose Gays as being members, never mind Bishops. ( see 365Gay Story )

First off I think we need to change a few words around here. To begin with these people aren’t ‘conservatives’ and shouldn’t be labelled as such. They should use the right name for them, which is ‘Racist’ or ‘Bigot’ as that is what they are.

A conservative person is one who simply is frugal in spending, prefers to be cautious and sedate. No where does it state in any definition of that word that they are zealots, that they are believing in a superiority of a single group over another, or that they are opposed to equal rights of any segment of mankind. So really, these people simply do not fit the word.

On the other hand, they certainly do fit the terms ‘Racists’ and ‘Bigots’ as a good racist does believe in the superiority of one race over another, a good bigot does attack any who disagree with him and holds an extremely narrow view of what is and what isn’t. Hell if you don’t agree with them, most bigots will think you are either a communist, liberal, or simple trash.

Sound familiar?

So these people who hate out of fear, who judge out of ignorance, aren’t conservatives, but are in fact racists. The Phelps of this world along with Bush and Harper fit these terms a lot more than they fit the label ‘Conservative’. After all, they do believe in the white man’s superiority, they do believe in their religious perceptions as being the only true perception, and anyone who disagrees is godless and immoral.

Thing is, in all of my reading of the Bible, Koran, I simply don’t find anywhere where God himself says, that we gays & lesbians are evil or godless. In fact I find more proof than not, that God is the creator of all mankind, which makes him my creator too, not just Stephen Harper or the new leader of the Southern Baptists.

Too bad these so called Conservatives don’t understand that.
