So Stephen Harper is warning the Liberal leader to not take down his government, because people don’t want a summer election. Now that is a good reason for propping up a Government that lies, that manipulates, and simply fails to support any form of accountability for its actions.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper “strongly advised” Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff Wednesday against bringing down the Conservative government. ( CBC News )

I don’t want a summer election either, but I also don’t want to have a government that can’t add, and is spending my money like I make a million bucks an hour.

I don’t want a summer election but I also don’t want to have the next two generations of Canadians having to pay for Stephen Harper’s inability to provide sound economic leadership. Especially when you consider the man is supposed to be a qualified economist, yet he’s missed out on every tell tale sign, and has played politics, instead of governing.

I don’t want a summer election but I sure don’t want to wait until the country has sold off all of its assets to the friends and contributors to Harper & his Pit Bulls.

I don’t want a summer election, but I sure would like to know how a deficit of $30 Billion has gone up to $50 Billion in four month, and how four months earlier, these same experts (Flaherty & Harper) were telling us that we’d have a modest surplus.

I mean just how often can you be wrong, and not be held accountable?

And then how about the double standards here? While Harper throws millions into attack ads, he now wants a favor from the Liberals? And he doesn’t even ask nice, but instead threatens?

I don’t want a summer election, but isn’t it time we got rid of the source of all of our economic woes, and stopped giving business a free ride? I mean we go from a few billion to bailout the big three auto makers, to where now, it is ten billion just for GM, and oh yeah, the guys who work for Chrysler, they are still not working. So how did the billions being given to them, help?

Maybe it is time, summer or not, to put our house in order, and turf this Government whose argument for not having an election on the ballooning deficit, is that, well we can afford it, plus it isn’t as much as other countries. Like I care what Japan or Germany is spending to protect their economy? I don’t know, but with a looming deficit bill of nearly 200 Billion, a rising loonie, continued rising gas prices, maybe a summer election is just what we need.
