E Coli Alert
Once more the inability of manufacturers to PROTECT CONSUMERS is highlighted by the current recall by the Canadian Food Agency, in frozen hamburger sold nationally by M&M Meat Markets, as well as by Costco Stores.
The agency has issued a warning about frozen Steakhouse Beef Burgers, sold at M&M Meat Shops across Canada, and frozen Pure Ground Beef Patties, made by Belmont Meat Products and sold at Costco stores in Ontario.
The recalled Steakhouse Beef Burgers are sold in a 1.02-kilogram package, code date 0858. The affected Belmont Meat Products items are sold in 4.54-kilogram “restaurant packs” bearing the UPC code 0 60597 35020 9. (source – CBC News)
Frankly I am tired of this. Seriously, the continued risk being faced by consumers, from lead paint in children toys, to strangulation risks in clothing, to contaminated food with potential fatal health risks, is just becoming too much. Yet our Leaders want more UNRESTRICTED TRADE between our countries and everywhere else.
They claim it is to improve our economy, well look around and tell me how OUTSOURCING IS WORKING? Come on, tell me George Bush, Stephen Harper, Hilary Clinton, John McCain, Flaherty, Gordon Brown, how unregulated industry is making life cheaper, making it safer.
