Hypocrisy & Morality in the Military
Doing What's Right Comments (3)
So General Pace spoke out on the plan to repeal the ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy of the US Armed forces. In making his views known, he called homosexuality immoral, and said it was not proper for the Armed Forces to support such immorality.
HYPOCRITE!
(Washington) The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Monday he considers homosexuality to be immoral and the military should not condone it by allowing gay soldiers to serve openly, the Chicago Tribune reported. (full Story)
It is interesting and a real piss off to hear this kind of crap from a person who should know better. Like where is the morality in covering up prisoner abuses in prisons like his command has done in Iraq? Where is the morality of not properly investigating reports of murder in Hadifa like he has done? Course then, he does say he supports DADT which is in fact, forcing people to lie and bear false witness.
So much for Morality.
It really is interesting to watch how supposed non-political people put spin on their remarks after they get called out on it. General Pace is the Chairmen of the Armed Forces, and according to the code of conduct, he is barred from making political statements, and yet here he is, spouting off on a political situation such as whether being gay is immoral or not.
The US Military is pretty quick to turf Gays who are outed but I sure don’t see any Court Martial happening to the Top General who failed when he led the Iraq Forces, and who is now mouthing off on whether I am moral or not. Who in the hell is he to determine whether or not I have any morals?
I’ll stack my morality up against his any day of the week. I don’t hide troops or investigations of troops who abuse their power, who murder, who rape. This is what he has done, and yet I am immoral?
When I fuck up, it is my fault. I don’t go laying the blame on others, and I own up to it. Don’t see him standing up and accepting the fault for the failure of his command to secure Iraq as was his orders. Instead he got promoted, but hey, I am immoral?
