You know, the US Military claims it is the most advanced military fighting machine in the world, with the latest gadgets and technology so really you would think they would get it right. Being Gay is not the same as having a fear of flying or wetting your bed at night. To begin with they called it a mental illness and now changed it to being a disorder like bed wetting. I mean come on, what century are these Generals living in?

(Washington) Pentagon guidelines that classified homosexuality as a mental disorder now put it among a list of conditions or “circumstances” that range from bed-wetting to fear of flying. (full story)

Kind of makes sense I guess. I mean it isn’t like these four star brain merchants can figure out that being Gay is not a disease or some mental condition, but a fact of nature. As the shrinks have noted for the last 30 years. While they can easily justify spending billions for guns and weapons that don’t work, they can’t figure out that some people are just naturally attracted to same sex persons.

With the brain trust they have, surely they would have figured it out by now that being gay is not like stuttering or wetting the bed or any of that. But nope, they haven’t but then too, they doo have a dumb streak. I mean while they can lower standards to meet recruitment needs ( see “Let’s Meet Our Recruitmen Target“), they won’t acknowledge that Gays can serve too, all because some redneck might be upset that another guy is checking out his shriveled up dick in the barracks shower.

“More than 30 years after the mental health community declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder, it is disappointing that the Pentagon still continues to mischaracterize it as a ‘defect,’ said Rep. Marty Meehan, D-Mass., a member of the House Armed Services Committee. (see story)

Either those pointed heads at the Pentagon don’t get it, or it is by design. After all even the RC Church (see “Reaching Out To Gays”) things we should put our money in the church coffers, but not let anyone know we are gay, because it is ‘disordered’. Guess it is just the Military showing its homophobia.

Makes you wonder, given how the Church comes out with its new doctrine in how to deal with us Gay folk and the Military then comes out with its new policy guidelines listing homosexuality as a disorder.

So who is running things, the Pope or the President?
