Or is it?

It seems that Stephen Harper was at the Oiler game for the Stanley Cup final between the Oilers and the American team. He was asked if he’d wear an Oiler Jersey and refused.

Now it might be he had a good reason, though frankly I wonder what it could be? Afraid George Bush would object to him favoring a Canadian team over an American one? I mean sure it is just a hockey jersey and one supposes he was rooting for the Oilers, but then again…

Was he?

I find it odd that a Prime Minister who is watching Canada’s pastime in person between a Canadian team and an American one wouldn’t put on the Canadian team’s jersey. I mean its support and while it may mean absolutely nothing, it can mean everything. I mean either you are proud of your country or not, so which is it Mr Harper?

In the election you refused point blank to say three words.. I Love Canada and when we suffered our first casualities in Afghanistan you refused to lower the flag on parliament for them. Now here you go attend a Stanley Cup playoff game and you won’t wear the Canadian Team’s jersey.

What are you ashamed of Mr Harper?
Being Canadian?
